These are mesh radios designed for decentralized communication using node-based networks rather than traditional point-to-point transmission. Unlike conventional UHF/VHF radios such as Baofeng units, mesh systems require a working understanding of how nodes relay data, network topology, and device configuration. They are not plug-and-play and do involve a learning curve. These radios are best suited for users willing to invest time into learning how mesh networking operates in order to fully utilize their capabilities.
